Job Overview:
Supports the service department by keeping bays organized and safe, assisting technicians, moving trucks/parts, and handling cleaning/waste tasks so repairs flow on schedule and vehicles are delivered on time.
Responsibilities and Duties/Essential Functions:
- Keep the shop clean and organized: Sweep floors; empty trash; clean wash bay; clean drains; maintain spill kits; keep bays, walkways, tool rooms, and common areas organized.
- Tool Control: Return specialty tools to their proper location; report damage/missing items.
- Vehicle Cleaning & Support: Wash/clean trucks and trailers for PDI and delivery; fuel/top off fluids as directed.
- Scrap & Waste Handling: Dispose of scrap metal per company instructions; pump waste oil and measure/record waste-oil tank levels.
- Snow & Grounds: Perform snow removal (shoveling, snow blower, salt/sand application) and light grounds cleanup as needed.
- Errands & Shuttle: Run local errands/parts runs; serve as a shuttle driver for customers when assigned (company vehicle).
- Shop Support: Assist technicians with basic tasks under supervision.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow all safety procedures.
Position Type:
Part time, non-exempt. Under 30 hours per week.

Qualifications:
- Minimum
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Valid driver’s license; insurable MVR; ability to safely move vehicles on premises (if qualified) and provide customer shuttle in a company vehicle.
- Ability to follow verbal/written instructions and complete simple logs/checklists; basic computer/clipboard entry.
- Reliable attendance and ability to perform the Physical Demands listed.
- Preferred
- Experience in a truck/heavy-equipment/industrial environment.
- CDL and DOT Medical Card.
